Piezomotor rotation stages have very small diameters.Microscopy applications frequently need for unrestricted light flow. These small rotation stages can also be employed in optics, positioning filters, for instance, with great accuracy and repeatability.Rotation stages enable flexible multi-axis positioning system combinations and can be put on linear stages without an adaptor.
Smaller precision motorized rotation stages are required for numerous alignment applications in optics, photonics, and medical design due to the ongoing requirement for miniaturization in industry and research. To meet varied needs, PI offers a variety of motor drive principles for its motorized tiny rotary stages. Closed-loop piezo motors are incorporated into the tiniest rotation stages for the smallest size. These backlash-free direct-drive motors offer high speed, reproducibility, and no-lag operation. For high position precision, a direct measuring encoder for position feedback is built into the body of the tiny rotary table. The size of the table might be as small as 18.5mm, depending on the technology being employed. The more conventional small rotation stages drive the rotation platform using stepper and closed-loop servo motors through a worm gear that improves motor torque.
